GMP Super G Lasher, Superior Performance & Capacity – 10505
The Super G Lasher (10505) is an upgraded and improved version of GMP’s classic G Lasher. Built to handle the larger bundles required for electrical distribution work, the Super G is capable of lashing cables from about 2-1/2 to 5-1/4 in. (63.5 mm to 133.35 mm) outside diameter or multiple cables up to 5-3/4 in. (146.05 mm) combined outside diameter.
The largest of the GMP Lashers, this unit is designed to lash a large single or a combination of aerial cables to a supporting strand. It can be used for new installs or with existing cables in place. It lashes on strand from 11/32 to 1/2 in. (8.73 mm to 12.7 mm) diameter with one or two spiral wrappings of .061 or .065 in. Many lashers need to have a downward force component to drive the strand drive wheels, but the Super G has a parallel-pull capability to overcome most terrain obstacles. The wire tension is always constant regardless of the amount on spool, and the front rollers guide cables through the smooth edges of the machine.
Despite its improved bundle capacity, the Super G weighs only 58 lbs. without wire compared to the 71 lbs. of the G Lasher, and its ergonomic design makes it easy to handle. Each lasher includes a 6 ft. bridle rope assembly with snap hooks, an information and operations manual, and a heavy-duty storage chest. Assembled from corrosion resistant materials like aluminum and plated steel with high durability in mind, the Super G is built to work for you for many jobs to come.
