Puller – P-6048

The Sherman + Reilly P-6048 is an intermediate size puller for installing conductor in heavy-distribution and sub-transmission construction. It features 6,000 lbs of smooth pulling capacity and 144,000 in.-lbs of torque, providing high capacity for long, heavy, and safe pulls in a single axle configuration that is easy to tow and maneuver. The operator’s position is well-protected and equipped with a full set of controls and seat that faces the drum, providing the operator an unobstructed, near-in-line view of the pull.

The drum axle is equipped with an aluminum-bronze disc-caliper payout brake, providing safe, well-controlled pulls. 8,500ft. capacity with ¾” rope enables using the P-6048 for a broad range of pulls, stretching budgets and adding operational flexibility. It is equipped with a hydraulically controlled levelwind, facilitating even distribution of lines and reducing risk of damage and interruptions during a pull.

The trailer features a hydraulic front jack, and two rear hydraulic leveling jacks which allow the operator to set up and be ready to operate quickly on just about any surface or terrain with stability. Its continuous weld strength steel construction provides a solid and durable piece of equipment, able to withstand rough field use.
