The Sherman + Reilly CRT196-67reel trailer is a conductor reel trailer built for transporting and tensioning a reel 96 in. OD by 67 in. wide and weighing up to 20,000 lbs. The unit is equipped with a 20 in. aluminum-bronze ventilated disc and 3-axis caliper assembly tension brake, which is adjustable to provide 30,000 inch lbs. of torque (2,000lbs. on a 30in. diameter). The conductor reel shaft is supported on two (2) ball bearings with provisions for pressure grease lubrication. Reel changing can be accomplished with a “quick-release,” single step operation.

The trailer is equipped with four (4) copper clad grounding loops welded to the frame (two in the front and two in the rear), adjustable front jack, adjustable leveling jacks on rear, DOT sealed lighting, and electric road brakes, fully adjustable pintle eye, and safety chains to match different heights of towing vehicles. Its continuous weld strength steel construction provides a solid and durable piece of equipment, able to withstand rough field use.
