Each Clor-N-Oil® PCB Oil Test Kit contains everything you need to perform the PCB Test Kit in less than 5 minutes. When your Oil Test Kit turns purple, be assured your oil sample is below the action level.

Designed to be used in the field, the PCB Oil Test Kit is a fast, accurate method to test electrical insulating fluids for the presence of PCB. Each pocket-sized PCB Test Kit contains everything necessary to perform the test in less than 5 minutes. All premeasured reagents are sealed in glass ampules for safe, fast, consistent and accurate results. Screening transformer oil with Oil Test Kit can eliminate non-PCB fluids from costly laboratory analysis and allows a greater number of oil samples to be tested at less cost.

The PCB Test Kit is available for testing transformer oil at three different action levels: 20 ppm, 50 ppm and 500 ppm. To eliminate the possibility of false negatives, each PCB Test Kit is calibrated on Aroclor 1242. Aroclor 1242 contains the least amount of chlorine (42% by weight) of the Aroclors found in electrical insulating fluids. By calibrating these oil test kits using Aroclor 1242, the user obtains the most conservative results. When the Oil Test Kit turns purple, you can be assured your oil sample is below the action level.

-(1) test tube containing gray ampule (top) and blue-dot ampule (bottom)
-(1) test tube containing 7 ml of buffer solution, a red dot ampule (bottom) and a red-green dot ampule (top)
-(1) plastic pipette
-(1) glass disposal ampule
